He is a retired military officer at the rank of Brigadier General. He has a Certificate in Military Science from Egerton University, a Diploma in Strategic Studies from the University of Nairobi, a Diploma in International Relations from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Nazarene University. He also has a master’s degree in Peace and Security Studies, Nazarene University

In the course of serving the military with honour, he undertook several career courses to enhance his capacity and capability in up scaling the overall collective readiness of the Kenya DefenseForces. Among the courses he went through includes, Defence Staff Collage, Peace Support Operation course at International Peace Support Training Centre (K),Computer Course, Maneuver Warfare at Defence Staff Collage ,UN Children’s Rights, Senior Command Course at School of Combat (K) and National Defence Course at National Defence College (K).Other courses include Long Gunnery Staff Course at School of Artillery, Pakistan, Maneuver Warfare at Joint Command Staff Collage, UK amongst many other senior command and leadership courses. Brig Angogo brings on board a wealth of experience from local perspectives and international dimensions.
