
Mr Dennis Wangila Wasike
Dennis Wangila Wasike is a Kenyan Citizen who has worked in over 20 countries across the globe, securing and
managing grants by global institutions, as well as working in collaboration with local, national, regional,
continental and international bodies including East African Community, International Conference on the Great
Lakes Region (ICGLR), UN Office of the Special Envoy for the Great Lakes, European Union, UN office on Youth
(UNOY) among others.
Dennis has previously worked as the Country Coordinator for the Kenyan Chapter of the Regional Youth Forum
Secretariat of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR). He has also worked as a
Programme Coordinator for the Great Lakes Project at NPI-Africa covering 11 countries within the region, with a
specific focus on DRC, Burundi, Rwanda, and Uganda.
He has dealt with issues relating to conflict and peace within the region, Security Sector Reforms, Youth and peace
building among others. Dennis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations from
Makerere University and a Master’s Degree in Armed Conflict and Peace Studies.
He currently works as the Governor’s Liaison Officer for the County Government of Bungoma at the Council of
Governors.
